Hello, 2019!

2018 was a tough year for me but of course, it was an unforgettable one. I’ve had my first eye check-up and it’s my first time to wear an eye glasses. I wouldn’t even imagine myself wearing one before. I have continue my studies here in the Philippines without my parents and my little brother. I have celebrated Christmas and New Year without them, I know it sucks right? Haven’t already seen them for 4 months and it felt like hell. I wanted to go back in Abu Dhabi because I miss them so bad. There are a lot of up’s and down’s but it was a good year.

I’ve celebrated New Year at our house with my relatives. I remember how I was so excited because I wanted to experience to hold a  “pasirit”. It is a kind of firecracker that it is not too dangerous. It was fun. I would like to share my New Year’s Resolutions and here they are:

This 2019…..

  • I would be more of a positive and a jolly person.

Appreciate more, worry less. Entering this year with a happy heart and a positive mind. I want to live my life to the fullest. To make a lot of unforgettable memories with the people who have a special place in my heart. I would not let my negative thoughts to ruin my 2019.

  • To spend more time with my family.

This year, I would waste no time to the things that do not really matter. I want to spend my time to my family because I’ve realized that my parents are growing older and older. I would take those chances to bond with them and to make them feel that I really love them.

  • Play a certain sport.

In 2019, I want myself to be a sporty one. I’ve always wanted to play a certain sport but in the end, I get too lazy. The sport that I wanted to try playing is badminton. Wala namang mawawala kapag tinry maglaro diba. It is also good for the health that is why I’m planning it to be my new hobby.

  • To be more productive.

I would want myself to be more of a productive person where I can avoid procrastinating. Doing things in advance and following the deadlines especially in school works. It is a good practice and I hope I would follow it.

Christmas-Related

What is Christmas when there’s no decorations right?

It really doesn’t feel Christmas until you see Christmas trees, nativity scenes and Christmas lights around you.

After how many years, I’ve experienced again how it felt like to spend Christmas here in the Philippines. It is truly different. Hearing those sweet voices of children caroling around the neighborhood. Witnessing those smiles in their faces when I’m going to give them money, I swear it was priceless.

I spent my Christmas break attending “Simbang Gabi” and I was shocked because I didn’t know that it starts at 4 am. Here’s the exciting part for me when the mass is over, I’ll go directly to the side of the church where there are a lot of vendors and I’ll buy puto bumbong and bibingka because those two are my favorite. Unfortunately, I didn’t complete it due to some reasons. The most cherished moment during Christmas is on…of course, Christmas Day! It’s like the thrill starts on the morning of December 24, which is the Christmas Eve. People around me in our barangay start greeting and we were all busy preparing and cooking food for the Noche Buena. We’ve attended the Misa de Gallo or Midnight Mass and it was very crowded.

And when the mass was ended, I’ve hugged and greeted my aunties and uncles a Merry Christmas.  One of the best Christmas that I’ve ever had experience. On the other hand, this is my first Christmas where my parents and my little brother are not around because they are in Abu Dhabi. I wouldn’t deny the fact that it makes me sad experiencing Christmas and New Year without them. Christmas is incomplete without family but I keep cheering myself up because it is the birthday of Jesus. There is nothing to be sad and worry about. It’s indeed the most wonderful time of the year.

Once again, Merry Christmas to all! ❤

My Thoughts on Love

“Love is like water. We can fall in it. We can drown in it. And we cannot live without it. ” — Anonymous

Imagine a world without love. Can you? Absolutely not. A world without love is incomplete, it’s something important and life without it would be sad. This is the only thing that can bind us through everything in this world because love again, is everything.

Let’s talk about love!❤️

  1. What is your ideal guy and why?

I want a guy who has a sense of humor that he could make me happy whenever I’m feeling sad or down. A guy who acts cool outside but crazy in the inside especially to the people he is close with, including me. I am really interested to a guy that has a good smell and taste when it comes on his outfit. Lastly, I want a guy who accepts me for who I am and who truly respects me.

2. What do you value most in a relationship?

I haven’t been yet in a relationship but for me it’s trust and respect. I believe that a relationship would not absolutely work without those two important things. Trust and respect. In a relationship, it’s not all about loving someone or showing your affection to them but it is all about understanding, supporting and believing someone. Kailangan mo munang maging mature bago ka pumasok sa isang relasyon dahil ito ay isang bagay na sineseryoso at hindi basta basta lamang

3. What is your own definition of love?

For me, love is unconditional and is a very powerful word. I know this might sound cliché but love is accepting the other person for who they are despite of their imperfections. There are many types of love, it can be a love towards your friends, neighbors and family.

4. When was the last time you cried because of someone you love?

The last time I cried because of someone I love was on August because that is the month when my family is already going back to Abu Dhabi and I’m left here in the Philippines to continue my studies. I can’t imagine that everyday when I’m going to wake up, I would not be able to see their presence as I used to. Grabe napakalungkot, sobra
